The boys woke up and made their way into the bathroom..
So, I jump out of the shower... throw the kids in my bed, pop on a cartoon for them and get back in the shower.
I had only shaved one leg... It is not often that I get to shave my legs now a days and I was bound and determined that BOTH legs were going to be as hairless as possible...
A few minutes later Zachary comes running in the bathroom, throws back the shower curtain and is screaming " Moo Per" (Cooper) and pointing in the bedroom. I knew Cooper was up to something...
I walk in the bedroom and Cooper had completely anointed himself...
His entire head was soaked and perfume was running down the sides of his face! I could hardly go near him for how strong the smell was! His big brown eyes were blinking... I'm sure they were also burning... Mine sure were....
I grab the bottle from his hand and there was not a drop left.
He was so proud of himself.
He looked adorable. I had to hold back a giggle and smile.
I hated for such a sweet looking little guy to get in trouble. So, in trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, I look around the room for a woman begging for forgiveness or a bible character such as Mary Magdalene... No such luck... He had done this to himself.
I knew for his safety and for the sake of me having any emergency perfume left for the days I don't get a shower, much less a leg shave, I was gonna have to burst his bubble.
So, I gave him a stern talking to, wiped as much of the perfume off of him as I could and placed him in time out. He was devastated.
Broke my heart.
Made me think of how much more the Lord's heart breaks when we too need discipline.
Which leads me to....

I'm thankful the Lord adopts us into His family... And He loves us not only as much as I love my Mr. FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH, but so much more.

I called to talk to my Grandma. I know that makes her smile.
Thanks Jeanette for hosting!

Having a hard time stopping the laughter (only because I've been there) about the one leg shaved idea to commend you on the grace you offered Cooper over the perfume...
You will shower in peace again my friend ~ I promise!
Where do you get your "perfume"?
Sounds delightful! It must be if he poured it all over himself!
Hmmmm...I guess one leg shaved and a really sweet smelling boy is a memory maker.
Too bad when we don't smell as sweet when we are placed in "time out".
Thank you for sharing these stories, it brings a smile to my heart to know that two little boys are loved so deeply in a world where that doesn't happen as often as it should.
Shalom,
Denise
Too Funny!!! All this excitement must make your easy shower days seem a little dull :0) Trust me there WILL come a day when you shower smoothly again!
You are honestly one of the funniest bloggers I know :) I love that you just say it how it is...showers are harder to come by around here these days too! ;) The Lord is certainly taking you on an adventure with these two little ones, isn't He? I hope you are enjoying all these crazy days as much as we are enjoying hearing about them!
Awesome post!
I hope Coop's poor little eyes didn't burn too much!
Cute story...definitely a memory maker.
Oh my word - this is so hilarious! I can totally relate with the leg shaving thing, except that both of mine have been severely neglected - gotta do something about that. Sweet Cooper - guess he won't be doing that again anytime soon - I can only imagine how strong it was!
